Tapestries for Het Steen

Het Steen, one of Antwerp's oldest landmarks has reopened after a long renovation. I was commissioned to create and draw six tapestries for a seventeenth century room, which were lovingly woven into existence by the folks at Flanders Tapestries. The entire design was meant as a whirlwind experience via historical and mythological situations, people, architecture and art related to the city of Antwerp with some absurdity thrown in for fun's sake.
